Four criminals nabbed with firearms

In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police arrested four armed criminals from Jafrabad late and recovered two semi-automatic pistols, 22 live cartridges, a spare magazine, and two stolen two-wheelers from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team from PS Jafrabad led by SHO Inspector Surender Kumar and supervised by ACP Vivek Tyagi, raided Gali No. 10 and intercepted the accused who were riding a motorcycle without a number plate and a scooty.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Azeem alias Mota (23), Asim (20), Fardeen (22), and Hashim (20), all residents of Jafrabad. Arms and ammunition were recovered from each of them. Two vehicles, a Yamaha motorcycle and a TVS N-Torq scooty, were found to have been stolen from Jagatpuri and Chandni Mahal areas respectively.

“All four accused were carrying sophisticated weapons and were possibly planning a criminal activity. Their past involvements are being verified, and further investigation is underway,” said DCP (Northeast) AK Mishra.

A case under the Arms Act and relevant provisions of the BNSS has been registered at PS Jafrabad.
