The police have arrested two burglars and a receiver of stolen property involved in a series of burglaries in East Delhi's Mayur Vihar area. The accused, identified as Harsh Thakur (44 years) of Ghaziabad, Pappu Verma (42 years) of Trilokpuri, and receiver Varun (44 years) of Ghaziabad, were caught following an intensive investigation using CCTV footage and technical surveillance.

The burglars targeted locked houses as an MO employed by them, breaking in with specialized tools. They used a stolen Activa scooty during the crimes.

During the arrests on March 22, police recovered approximately 90 grams of melted gold, 17 broken pieces of a diamond necklace, and the stolen Activa scooty used in commission of crime.

“This operation showcases the dedication and efficiency of our teams in tackling crime. The swift action by Mayur Vihar police and Special Staff, with detailed surveillance, led to the successful arrests,” said DCP East Abhishek Dhania.

The investigation is ongoing to uncover further links and recover more stolen property.
