Five gamblers with paraphernalia arrested

Cracking down on punters and gamblers, the district police exhibit zero tolerance and seem proactive in curbing crime of such nature.
A team from the Special Staff of Shahdara District Police raided an illegal gambling operation in Vivek Vihar, leading to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of cash and the paraphernalia used for the act.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a premises in Kasturba Nagar where gambling activities were reportedly being conducted under the 'mentorship' of a woman identified as Krishna Devi, alias Baby. The prime suspect was not present at the time of the raid, but police apprehended five individuals—Rohit (19), Subham (22), Vishal (31), Anil (38), and Bunty (45).
The raid, led by Inspector Munish Kumar under the supervision of ACP Gurudev Singh, resulted in the recovery of ₹8,841 in cash, along with a Charkhi, Satta charts, betting slips, pens, and a calculator. Following the operation, an FIR (No. 165/25) under the Delhi Public Gambling Act was registered at PS Vivek Vihar.
Further probe is underway to nail Krishna Devi and unearth any larger networks involved in the crime.
