Delhi Traffic Police organizes bike rally for road safety awareness
The Delhi Traffic Police conducted a bike rally at Mayur Vihar Circle as part of Delhi Police Week, aiming to promote road safety among food delivery personnel and the general public.
Around 55 delivery service riders from Swiggy and Zomato, with 45 Delhi Traffic Police bikers, participated in the event. Before the rally, DCP (Traffic) Eastern Range, Rajeev Kumar briefed the riders on essential traffic guidelines. Participants wore T-shirts and caps with road safety slogans, and placards were displayed along the rally route, covering key locations such as Chilla Border, Akshardham, and Laxmi Nagar.
The initiative was well-received by the public, with many onlookers pledging to follow traffic rules. Commending the efforts, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic HQ) Satya Vir Katara said, "Such initiatives play a crucial role in fostering a culture of road safety and responsible driving."
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective commitment to safe road practices.
