Int'state drug cartel busted, 4 held

Special Cell, southern range, has been continuously working on busting drug syndicates which are involved in smuggling of illegal drugs in and around Delhi/NCR.  

A team comprising Inspector Ranjeet Singh under the supervision of ACP Ved Parkash of Southern Range was formed, which busted an interstate drug cartel by arresting four members of the gang. Those arrested have been identified as Ajay alias Hanumaan 45 years,.Kailash 27 years, Annda Ram 38 years and Vinod Yadav 38 years

Around 30 kgs of fine quality opium has been recovered from them.

Acting on a tip-off that Ajay and Kailash would come to  Sarai Kale Khan bus stop, to deliver the consignment of drugs to a person in the late evening. Accordingly, a trap was laid and the duo were apprehended. 

The accused disclosed that another lot of opium was on its way from Guwahati. Developing this lead, the accused Annda Ram was arrested.

Approx 30.6 Kgs of opium has been recovered till now, further investigation is underway.
