Seminar talking of election expenses held

A training seminar was organized on election expenditure monitoring, seizure of cash, drugs and other inducement items and  related matters at Academy for Smart Policing at Mother Teressa Crescent Road, Chanakyapuri.

This seminar organised on the direction of Commissioner of Police, Delhi Sanjay Arora to augment its action and responses during Delhi Legislative Assembly Election-2025 scheduled for February 5 next month. It also focuses on better collaboration and cooperation with DRI, Income Tax Department and other Enforcement Agencies.

The seminar was attended by District DCsP, Addl. DCsP, ACsP/Nodal Police Officers for Election Expenditure Monitoring. 

The senior officials of the Income Tax Department and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, State Nodal Police Officer, Jt.CP/Cyber Cell (IFSO) and officials of Election Cell briefed them.

Officials of all three departments shared their views, best practices, experiences and latest strategies which may be adopted in elections.

State Police Nodal Officer, Delhi D C Srivastva, Special Commissioner of Police, in his concluding remarks, stressed the need for proper coordination between all stakeholders to ensure a peaceful, free and fair election in Delhi. He also laid emphasis on frequent sharing of experiences, called the need of the hour for a prompt, better and well calibrated response for Delhi Legislative Assembly Election-2025.
