Two shooters nabbed with firearms

The Cell has apprehended two shooters involved in firing at Petrol Pump, Gokalpuri, Delhi and also recovered 2 sophisticated illegal pistols of .32 bore and 22 live cartridges from their possession. The police also recovered a motorcycle used in the offence.
A team of TYR, Special Cell, led by Inspectors Rahul Kumar and Vineet Kumar, under the close supervision of ACP/TYR Special Cell Kailash Singh Bisht arrested Abhishek Kumar alias Harshu 22 years and Vikrant alias Vicky 23 years involved in the firing at Petrol Pump, Gokalpuri on November 15.
Acting on a tip-off,the team analyzed CCTV footage of the incoming route and the escaping route of assailants. Accordingly, information about local criminals active in the area was being collected through various sources. The activity of such criminals was also monitored who were previously arrested in such an incident. The team was formed which laid a trap and the duo were nabbed.
It was learnt that last year accused Abhishek came in contact with gangster Kala Jathedi, he further introduced him to Johny. On 15/11/2024 Johny directed Abhishek to reach Loni Bus depot and assist his associates in firing on a petrol pump in lieu of ₹ 50,000 Abhishek with his friend Vikrant went to Loni bus depot, Uttar Pradesh. There two boys (Ankit and Deepak) met them on two bikes one Splendor and one Apache. Ankit and Deepak handed them two loaded pistols and two separate loaded magazines. Vikrant from Baghpat, UP studied up to 9th standard. After leaving studies he started searching for a job. In 2022, he started running a parking lot at Johripur, Ext., Delhi in his private plot. While running the parking lot, he came in contact with local bad elements. In the year 2023, he closed the parking lot and started working as a recovery agent. In 2023, he committed four crimes and was arrested by UP Police.
