Legal Studies course gives info to citizens about duties, rights and law: ACP Virendra Punj

Mohalla Sudhar and Security Committee, Maujpur members, in collaboration with Delhi Police, Education Department Delhi and Delhi Commission for Women, organized a programme for the upliftment and security of the locality at Jain Dharamshala, Maujpur, Delhi. Assistant Commissioner, Vigilance Virendra Punj was the chief guest on the occasion.
Inspector Khemendra Singh (Vigilance Department, Delhi Police) compared criminal activities to the Sita Haran episode of Ramayana in very simple and eloquent speech. He asserted that criminals are conversant with human greed, attachment and subsequently apply their tools to swindle our wealth.
Inspector Khemendra Singh and the staff of Cyber Cell, North-East District, Delhi Police elaborated that the prevalent cyber crimes, activities of cyber criminals and measures to stave off cyber crimes. In the context of cyber crimes, the 6 words in the word police were defined differently. Vice Principal of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, No. 2, C Block, Yamuna Vihar, Mrs. Divya Chauhan motivated the parents that they should cooperate in the development of children and their education. She shared the measures which will create harmony between the family, children and parents and the children will be successful in their career development. She put forth the mantra of basic knowledge, practice and continuity to the children to achieve lofty targets. Furthermore, she motivated the children to prepare for employment oriented examinations like UPSC and SSC and also suggested some valuable tips which need to be followed invariably. She also replied to the questions of the parents and resolved their doubts by giving clarifications. Subsequently, Mrs. Veena Sharma, who is a very renowned and popular teacher of Mathematics in Ghonda School, presented important and eloquent tips to all the students. She motivated the children by citing examples that they should learn Mathematics through the activities around them so that they will become proficient in Mathematics and Mathematics will also become easy to master.
Women social worker advocate and Delhi Women Commission Nodal Officer Meghverna Sharma elucidated that in crimes against children and women, either complaints are still not lodged or in many cases there is a delay in filing such complaints. Even during hearing in the court, the criminals escape and evade punishment by intimidating the victim or offering some benefits or likewise and the victim is constrained to retract or change the statement. She said that in schools, children should be imparted basic law education in the Legal Studies subject. Law graduates will have a brilliant career with scintillating career in police, teacher,bank, chartered accountant, MBA, National Law University.
In the concluding address, the chief guest, Virendra Punj, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vigilance Department, Delhi Police, acknowledged the participants about the formula vision plan, time management practice and self-assessment elements.
He affirmed that it is important to benefit and learn from the experience of others instead of making mistakes. All the participants have praised the efforts and management of Mohalla Sudhar and Security Committee, Maujpur.
Present at the event were experts from Delhi Police, Education Department, Delhi and Delhi Commission for Women vigilance.
The programme was conducted smoothly by Doctor Amit Sharma, Prof. State Council of Educational Research Delhi, Mrs. Neetu Sharma and Kumari Aditi Sharma.
