The North-West District Police have cracked a sensational blind murder case with the arrest of two accused—Ravi (27 years) and Deepak alias Pankaj (41 years). The duo was involved in the brutal murder of an elderly couple in Kohat Enclave, Pitampura, with the intention of robbing them.

The incident came to light on March 18 when police received a PCR call about an assault on house no. 317. Upon arrival, officers discovered the decomposed bodies of Mohinder Singh (70 years) and his wife, Diljeet Kaur (71 years), in separate rooms. Investigations revealed that Ravi, a former caretaker of the couple, had conspired with Deepak to replace him as the new attendant, allowing them to carry out the crime.

Following a swift operation, police arrested both accused and recovered ₹30,000, stolen cash, a gold bangle, the murder weapons (a hathodi and a dupatta), and a country-made pistol with three live rounds.

Commending the efforts of the police team, Additional DCP Sikandar Singh stated, "This was a challenging blind murder case, but our officers worked tirelessly, using advanced investigative techniques to track down the culprits and deliver justice."

Further investigations are underway to determine their involvement in other crimes as well.
