Five injured in gunfight between two groups

A violent gun fight broke out between two groups in the Jyoti Nagar area on Monday night, leaving five people injured, including two bystanders. The firing incident took place around 9:00 PM at Shakti Garden, Gali No. 1, Meet Nagar, causing panic among locals.

According to the police, a call was received at PS Jyoti Nagar reporting that a youth had been shot by unidentified assailants. Upon reaching the scene, the police found that multiple rounds had been fired between two groups, resulting in injuries to five individuals. The injured have been identified as Akash alias Mata (21),Abhishek alias Akash Chikara (30),Vasu (22).Two bystanders who sustained bullet injuries during the crossfire were Ram Kumar Rana (55) and Mukesh (45).

All the injured were rushed to GTB Hospital for treatment. Police teams, with crime and forensic experts, arrived at the scene to collect evidence. Several empty cartridges and a live cartridge were recovered from the spot. A case has been registered at PS Jyoti Nagar, and an investigation is underway. Multiple police teams have been formed to analyze technical and manual inputs to identify and arrest those involved in the shootout. Further updates are awaited as the probe continues.
