CM U'khand graces ‘Khel Mahakumbh'

A delegation from Kreeda Bharati Uttar Pradesh, led by its President and member of the Legislative Council Avnish Kumar Singh, Regional President Sandeep Ji, Uttarakhand State President Arun Sood, and TYC Communication’s Founder Director Ms Geeta Singh, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami. During the meeting, the delegation extended an invitation to PS Dhami to attend the Khel Mahakumbh: Khel Samvaad Sangam as Chief Guest. The event is set to take place in the Sangam area of Prayagraj during the Kumbh Mela from 5-11 February 2025.  

On this occasion, Dhami expressed his support for the initiative, stating, "This event, organized during the Kumbh Mela, is bound to become a significant platform for promoting sports. The Kumbh Mela a venue for dialogue will discuss sports within this context; a brilliant opportunity. Uttarakhand has always been committed to promoting sports. We are hosting the National Games, and our government is tirelessly working to encourage the youth to actively participate in sports. I extend my best wishes to the Khel Mahakumbh: Khel Samvaad Sangam and hope for its grand success."

Speaking about the event, Avnish Kumar Singh, President of Kreeda Bharati Uttar Pradesh, remarked, "This event is poised to be historic. We aim for participation from every state, enabling athletes from across the country to showcase their talent. This will bring local and regional sports to the forefront, help them gain recognition and pave the way for their acknowledgement at a broader level. Khel Mahakumbh: Khel Samvaad Sangam will serve as a platform to bring forth sports talent from small towns and villages in India and help them shine on the global stage."

The Khel Mahakumbh is anticipated to be a groundbreaking event, fostering dialogue and collaboration around sports while celebrating India's rich sporting heritage, including Mallakhamb, Kushti, Kalarippayattu, Archery, and Yoga; this event preserves our centuries-old fitness traditions.

Elated by the valuable support of the CM Dhami, Ms Geeta Singh stated, “India is ready to revive its image in the world’s sports arena and accelerate the momentum in this direction, the promotion of our heritage sports such as Mallakhamb, Kushti, and Archery will be a great source of inspiration for youths going to represent the country in Olympics, CWG, Asian Games.”

Khel Mahakumbh: Khel Samvaad Sangam is set against the iconic backdrop of Prayagraj’s Sangam Kshetra, which will be a first-of-a-kind experience for participants, sports enthusiasts, and all other stakeholders.
