Shooter in Najafgarh salon double murder nailed

The Crime Branch, Delhi Police, has arrested Harsh alias Chintu 22 years, a prime accused in the Najafgarh salon double murder case. Harsh, who absconded abroad on a fake passport, carried a reward of ₹50,000 for his capture.
On February 9, 2024, at “Scissor Dot Comb Salon” in Najafgarh, Ashish and Sonu Tehlan were shot dead. Harsh with accomplice Sanjeev Dahiya, had enmity with the victims. The accused declared proclaimed offenders and fled after the crime. Harsh escaped abroad on a fake passport with a fake identity alias Pradeep Kumar and was last located in Baku, Azerbaijan.
A dedicated team led by Inspector Rakesh Kumar with SIs Amit Grewal, Anuj Kumar Narender Godara, ASIs Vikas Kumar, Ravindra, Kirpal, HCs Sukhbir, Rahul, Jaspal, Bhag Singh, Irshad, Nahanji, Kamal Godara, Ravinder, and Satyawan and W/Ct. Reena, supervised by senior officers ACP Umesh Barthwal and under the close supervision of DCP Sanjay Kumar Sain, and overall supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police, Sanjay Bhatia worked relentlessly to nab Harsh. Investigations revealed that he had obtained a fake passport in Punjab and left India via Amritsar Airport in June 2024. An LOC was issued, leading to his detention at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport on November 28, 2024.
Harsh, a habitual criminal and associate of gangster Yogesh alias Tunda of the Gogi Gang, confessed to his involvement. He admitted to planning and executing the murders with Sanjeev Dahiya and later hiding in various Indian cities before fleeing to Azerbaijan. He was returning to India to arrange another fake passport.
Harsh had a criminal record, including extortion cases, and had threatened Delhi businessmen in the name of the Gogi Gang.
