Rubina, Shivangni, and Nidhi, mothers of young children, showed their determination by completing a six-month tailoring and cutting course. Their dream to start a boutique became a reality after attending skill development training powered by the MSME and conducted by the Delhi Competitive and Vocational Society (DCVS) in Bhikam Singh Colony. Two gentlemen Arun and Anil from the Ministry of MSME distributed certificates to 25 women and girls . DCVS, an NGO worked to uplift marginalised women and girls, empowering women through skill development.

Virender Punj, ACP Vigilance of Delhi Police, praised these mothers for their courage and vision, focusing on government’s initiatives to empower women through skill training and financial support. Punj highlighted the importance of women’s safety and legal education in schools, a way to counter crimes against women and children. Despite being introduced by CBSE in 2013, legal education is not being taught as expected which undermined its potential to create a safer society and career opportunities. Vijender Punj advocated for making legal education mandatory in schools to raise awareness about free legal aid and enhance its utilisation, emphasized the Prime Minister’s commitment to addressing crimes against children, women, and cyber issues. He urged schools to teach CBSE’s legal studies curriculum.
