The Andaman and Nicobar Police, working together with the Indian Coast Guard, busted a drug racket and seized 6,016 kilograms of methamphetamine. The police nabbed six accused from Myanmar. This carefully orchestrated mission revealed a multinational drug syndicate with widespread activities.The accused when interrogated revealed important information about the cartel's working and its network. Research revealed the utilization of cutting-edge technologies, such as a Starlink satellite dish, highlighting the complexity of the system.
Analysis of the confiscated vessel revealed crucial evidence, including GPS information connecting various sites in Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.It was discovered that the supposed boss of the cartel regularly went to Tachileik, which is a center for meth trade in the Golden Triangle, along with other key border towns. The authorities followed the proper legal procedures, conducting sampling and certification for 222 bags of methamphetamine within a 48 hour time-frame.
This absolutely reflects India's stance against organized crime and is in line with the government's goal of a "Nasha Mukt Bharat," ensuring justice and public safety.
