Delhi police initiate a safety kiosk at IITF

Delhi Traffic Police has introduced a Traffic Awareness booth at the India International Trade Fair, stall number 14, ground floor, Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan. The kiosk was inaugurated by Ajay Choudhry, Special Commissioner of Police, on 15th November. The main objective of the kiosk aims to promote road safety , featuring live demonstrations of how traffic violations are captured using high-definition cameras and showcases the challan process to the violators. Visitors could engage with road safety initiatives, helplines, and social media platforms. This remarkable initiative highlighted traffic rules and citizen awareness to encourage a responsible and vigilant behavior on roads.
Bihar Pavilion pulls visitors for rich culture
Bihar Pavilion at Delhi Trade Fair showcased the rich heritage and diverse culture of Bihar, through the presence of Padma Shri awardees like Shanti Devi and Baua Devi displaying Mithila paintings.
Other awardees like Ashok Kumar Biswas showcased Tikuli Art, Neetu Sinha presented Terracota works and Sikki Craft by Sudheera Devi.
Ashok Kumar Biswas, awarded with Padma Shri in 2023, was modernizing Tikuli painting, training over 8,000 women, and creating a three-piece series on Chhath Puja.
Neetu Sinha, a terracotta artist, was crafting a depiction of Chhath Puja, reflecting Bihar's traditions in her work.
Exotic glimpses of J'khand culture and heritage
India Mandapam Amphitheatre lit up on the occasion of Jharkhand State Day at the ongoing international fair at Pragati Maidan, Delhi.
Jharkhand Pavilion commemorated Jharkhand State Day by displaying the state's vibrant folk culture.
The chief guest at the event was Jitendra Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Department of Industries, Government of Jharkhand. Also in attendance were Vipra Bhal, Secretary of Information Technology; Man Mohan Prasad, Additional Secretary of the Department of Industries; Sushant Gaurav, Director of Industries; Prerna Dixit, Managing Director of JIADA; Pranav Kumar Paul, Joint Director; Lallan Kumar, Special Officer of JAP IT; and other prominent guests.
The event began with the ceremonial lamp lit and a tribute paid to Bhagwan Birsa Munda. During this event,Jitendra Kumar Singh commended the abilities and advancements seen at the pavilion's booths, emphasising the importance of trade fairs as a great opportunity to exhibit state progress. He highlighted the state's recognition for its abundance of minerals and rich heritage. He also added that the state is collaborating with all sectors of society to promote progress and expressed optimism that Jharkhand would reach a pinnacle in days to come.
The event featured Manbhum Chhau dance form by Prabhat Kumar Mahato and team, Paika dance by Gulab Kumar Mahato and his group, Mundari dance by Sukhram Pahan, Nagpuri dance by Sulekha Kumari, and Saraikela Chhau by Gobind Mahato and group. The cultural richness was vividly shown through these traditional dance forms.
