Sharpshooter associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang caught

In a major breakthrough, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested a sharpshooter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, preventing a planned extortion-related firing in the city. The accused, Harish (21), was nabbed near Sector 24, Rohini, following a tip-off. A semi-automatic pistol and five live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
According to the police, Harish was a close associate of Ankit Shehrsha, a key accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. He had earlier been arrested in Sonipat, Haryana, in connection with an extortion-related firing but resumed criminal activities after securing bail.
Investigations revealed that Harish was in contact with gang leaders through Instagram and had retrieved illegal firearms from an ashram under instructions from Sagar Rana, another Bishnoi gang member. He had destroyed his mobile phone to evade tracking.
A case under the Arms Act has been registered, and further investigations are in progress.
