Boy nabbed with a knife and stolen scooty
In an operation, the staff of Madhu Vihar police station apprehended a 23-year-old youth in possession of a button-actuated knife and a stolen scooty near Utsav Ground in Patparganj.
The incident unfolded when constables Shyam Sunder and Ashwani were patrolling the area near Max Hospital, Patparganj. Acting on a tip-off about a young man selling an illegal button-operated knife for ₹500 and using a stolen vehicle, the officers immediately proceeded to Utsav Ground.
Constable Ashwani in civvies approached the suspect, posing as a buyer for the knife. The suspect, later identified as Amit Kumar, a resident of West Vinod Nagar, Delhi, agreed to sell the weapon. He was promptly apprehended by the officers.
Further inquiries revealed that Amit was sitting on a Honda Activa scooty bearing the registration number DL-7SCD-0758. Upon questioning, he confessed to having stolen the vehicle from West Vinod Nagar. Police verified that the scooty had been reported stolen in an e-FIR (No. 01931/25) registered the same day at Madhu Vihar Police Station.
A case under Section 25 of the Arms Act was registered against Amit Kumar. Investigations are underway to uncover additional details regarding his activities.

Madhu Vihar police are continuing its investigation to determine if the suspect is linked to other criminal activities.
