Ravi Yadav was shot multiple times in a park in Trilokpuri. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The incident was reportedly an act of revenge planned by Shoaib and his associates.

Three suspects in the case  were initially arrested, the main shooters, Shoaib and Sonu alias Bengali, remained at large. Sonu was caught in Ajmer whereas Shoaib managed to escape. Undeterred, the Crime Branch continued its relentless pursuit, Shoaib’s location was eventually tracked down using WhatsApp surveillance.

During interrogation, Shoaib confessed to his involvement in the murder and led the police to recover the automatic pistol used in the crime with four live cartridges, from Mandawali.

He has been implicated in multiple murders, including two cases in Madhu Vihar while he was a juvenile. His criminal activities escalated after he came into contact with notorious gang members during a previous term in jail.

The murder of Ravi Yadav is believed to be a retaliatory act stemming from an earlier attempt on the life of Sunil alias Golu, an associate of Shoaib.
