Grand Brahmin confers to pledge for unity
Under the aegis of the Untied Brahmin Organisation, an event was organised at Marigold Sports Ground, Katewada to discuss Brahmin unity and fraternity. The event was attended by 50 Brahmin Khap Panchayats and other Brahmins at a pan India level
The conference marked the culmination of the 13 months and 25 days long Brahmin Unity campaign led by former Delhi Police officer Pandit Radheshyam Sharma. The event began with tributes to inspiring personalities like Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Brahmin leader Pandit Prabhu Dayal Gaur of Auchandi, Delhi. The programme officially started with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp, followed by remembering Lord Parashuram.
Pandit Radheshyam Sharma,ex-serviceman with Delhi Police, was honored by the title of “Peshwa” for his continuing efforts in uniting the Brahmin community across different regions. Addressing on the occasion, he emphasized that while other communities have achieved milestones through collective efforts such as Khap Panchayats, the Brahmin community remained fragmented. His campaign has already brought together about 380 organizations under one umbrella and he assured that the Brahmin awareness campaign would continue relentlessly.
He further added that the disunity among the Brahmin is the primary reason for their declining influence. During the event, in the presence of thousands of members from the Rashtriya Brahmin Swayamsevak Sangh, dignitaries such as Renuka Sharma, President of Vashistha Seva Dham, Chhatarpur, Asha Sharma, daughter-in-law of Haryana’s first Chief Minister Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma, Pandit Mahendra Singh Parashar (President, Brahmin Society Institution, Yamuna Vihar), Harpal Gaur alias Chacha Mangal Pandey from Haryana, Pandit Teerath Prakash Vats from Mundka Nangloi, Anil Rishiraj Singh, Acharya Naresh Gaur, Sunil Vats, Suresh Kumar Kaushik, Ramnivas Sharma, Nanak Chand Sharma, and Paleram Bhardwaj took an oath of unity.
The chief guest, Member of Parliament from Aligarh, Satish Gautam was present on the occasion. Other notable attendees included Dr. Banerjee, President of the Australia Brahmin Society, Deputy Mayor Ravindra Bhardwaj, Brahmin Ambassador Ramesh Sharma, and Dinesh Kaushik, all of them took a pledge for Brahmin protection and welfare.
