Minister inaugurates IITF Sends an online message

43rd India International Trade Fair has commenced today at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan Delhi amidst a huge gathering.
"The India Trade Promotion Organisation deserves all appreciation as this fair edition has been organised with larger participation than the previous editions. Every year, IITF is growing in size and scale and ITPO is consistently delivering IITF as a world-class event," spoke Minister of Commerce & Industry, GoI Piyush Goyal.
The minister placed great emphasis on organising more international exhibitions like Bharat Tex, Bharat Mobility, World Food Fair etcetera.
Present on the occasion were Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman and Managing Director, ITPO, Jitender Singh, Secretary Government of Jharkhand, Premjit Lal, Executive Director, ITPO, foreign delegates, exhibitors and media persons.
Goyal commended ITPO and all other stakeholders for providing an ideal platform to the industry, especially to start-ups, women entrepreneurs and rural artisans. He has also suggested that ITPO should organize two fairs in a year in May/June and name may be given as “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” to showcase the power of “Swadeshi”.
This year, “Viksit Bharat@2047” is the theme of the fair as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
CMD ITPO, Pradeep S. Kharola, highlighted the salient features of IITF 2024. He added that ITPO has made extensive efforts to improve the overall experience of participation for the exhibitors and visitors. ITPO has introduced Navigation App through which the visitors can get access to the particular stall and golf cart service on a payment basis. This year all the states and UTs are participating in the event. This year all the gates of Bharat Mandapam are operational and ITPO has made arrangements for pick-up and drop facility at the basement parking, approximately 4500 vehicles could be accommodated. For organizing IITF 2024, the full area of Bharat Mandapam has been utilized.
Jitender Singh, Secretary, Government of Jharkhand informed that Jharkhand would be completing its 24th year of its existence on 15th November, 2024.
AAP Min inaugurates Delhi Pavilion
DDIISC organized the Delhi Pavilion on behalf of the Industries Department, showcasing Delhi’s participation in 43rd International Trade Fair 2024, covering 630 sq. meters in Hall no. 3. The pavilion was themed with “ Viksit Bharat @2047.
AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj, minister in Delhi Government inaugurated the pavilion.
As per the theme, small scale industries, MSMEs, startups, and entrepreneurs are aimed to be self- sustainable for achieving their goals, also dedicated stalls for these emerging businesses. Some stalls are dedicated to the Govt. department of Delhi namely Delhi Prison( TIHAR ), Health, Education, Transport and Tourism to showcase their functioning and future goals.
There are displays of Delhi’s cultural heritage, adding a selfie point to make it memorable.
CS inaugurates Rajasthan Pavilion
Rajasthan Day will be celebrated on 18th November.
Chief Secretary of Rajasthan Sudhansh Pant inaugurated the pavilion.
In the fourteen day long India International Trade Fair. Rajasthan pavillion has been prepared in a new look in accordance with the theme.
Sudhansh Pant emphasised stating that an effort has been made to showcase the progress, innovation and cultural heritage of Rajasthan in the Rajasthan Pavilion.
Managing Director of Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation (Rajsico), Nagikya Gohain said that this time in the Rajasthan Pavillion RIICO, BIP, Industries, Women and Child Development Department , Tourism Department as well as RUDA and Rajasthali have displayed their products and services. Director of Rajasthan Pavillion, Dinesh Sethi said that about 23 stalls of entrepreneurs and skilled artists participating from different regions of Rajasthan have been displayed in the pavillion, in which Rajasthan's world famous handicraft products, especially lac bangles , various items of women's makeup,textile items , quilts, as well as Rajasthani food stalls have been set up. In the pavilion, Rajasthan Tourism Department has specially displayed the programmes and activities promoting tourism, which is encouraging the visitors.
Bihar Partner state inaugurated
Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar (IAS), Director of Handloom and Silk Production Department of Bihar Government, inaugurated the Bihar Pavilion by lighting the lamp.
In the Bihar pavilion, the civilization door, Bodhi tree, glass bridge, modern Nalanda University, and Madhubani paintings, Manjusha paintings, and Tikuli art decorated the pavilion, and the Bihar museum built in the center hall of the pavilion is the main attraction this time.
Exhibition-cum-sale of Bihar's unrivaled handicraft and Bihar Khadi products through 75 stalls in the Bihar Pavilion.
Ashok Kumar Sinha, Director of the Bihar Museum of the Government of Bihar was also present on the occasion.
The Bihar pavilion has been set up in Hall No. 2.
Modern Nalanda University is depicted in 3D painting on one wall of the Bihar Pavilion. On the other side, Buddha Bridge is shown. Other walls of the Bihar Pavilion are being decorated by well-known artists of Bihar of Mithila painting, Manjusha painting, and Tikuli art. The development of various departments of the Bihar government is depicted in different circles made between these paintings.
