Man with three CCL involved in armed robbery caught

The Special Staff of the district cracked an armed robbery case within hours, arresting a habitual offender and catching three juveniles involved in the crime. The accused, identified as Mushtaq alias Mustafa alias Ali (22 years), with three CCL (Children in Conflict with Law), were apprehended, and the stolen items—including a mobile phone, ₹1,000 cash, and a bag—were recovered. The weapon, a knife, used in the offence, was also recovered.
The complainant Sagar was on his way home when he was waylaid by four assailants near Jahangir Puri. They brandished knives, assaulted him, and robbed him of ₹2,000, his mobile phone, and a bag before fleeing. An FIR under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered and an investigation was initiated.
A special team led by Inspector Somveer Singh, in charge of Special Staff with SI Sumit Kalkal, Head Constables Rajesh, Somveer, Jogender, and Narsi, with Constables Ankush, Akshay, and Woman Constable Dolly was formed under the supervision of ACP (Operations) Ranjeet Dhaka.
A series of raids led to their swift arrest, and the stolen items were recovered from their possession.
Mushtaq and others confessed to the crime.
DCP North-West Bhisham Singh lauded the team’s efforts, stating, “This arrest demonstrates our commitment to tackling street crime with swift and decisive action. We remain vigilant in ensuring the safety of Delhi’s citizens, and further investigations are underway to check their involvement in other cases.”
Further investigation in the case is underway.
