“CYGIENE” sensitises people to cybercrimes

“CYGIENE”, a cyber awareness programme held at Guru Gobind Singh University East Campus Auditorium by Shahdara District, on the occasion of Delhi Police Week. 

The event aimed at spreading awareness regarding prevention and precautions of cyber crimes. The event was attended by distinguished attendees and senior officials of Delhi Police. The chief guest at the event special commissioner of police, Ravindra Singh Yadav (IPS) was flanked by Sagar Singh Kalsi, additional commissioner of police,eastern range and Prashant Priya Gautam, DCP Shahdara, Neha Yadav and Additional DCP Deependra Kumar. The programme was chaired by Prof. A K Saini, Director of the East Delhi Campus of GGSIP University and Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi.

With a rise in the number of cyber frauds, the event focused on raising awareness between senior citizens and the general public. The event suggested various measures and preventions to secure themselves from cyber frauds. Moreover, a  free healthcare camp was organised to engage more people towards this campaign. 

RS Yadav in his address stressed the need for cyber awareness. The vigilance mindset within people will help them curb cyber frauds on the increase, Yadav concluded.
