3 CCL involved in snatching apprehended
A team from the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS), Central District, has apprehended three juvenile snatchers involved in a mobile phone snatching incident in Daryaganj. The police also recovered the snatched phone and the stolen scooty used in the crime.
The incident took place when complainant Satish Kumar was returning from the market near Charitable Eye Hospital. Three individuals on a scooty snatched his mobile phone and fled. Following, a special police team led by Inspector Raghuveer Meena was formed to crack the case.
Through meticulous CCTV analysis, manual intelligence, and technical surveillance, the team identified and tracked down the accused. The three juveniles—aged 16, 15, and 12—were apprehended. They confessed to their involvement and revealed that the scooty used in the crime was found stolen.
DCP Central District, M. Harsha Vardhan, stated, “Our team acted swiftly using both technology and ground intelligence to nab the offenders.”
Further investigation is underway.
