Two arrested for armed robbery
Two robbers have been arrested for an armed robbery case of PS New Usmanpur.
It was learnt that the complainant was mugged by two men on a motorcycle. The accused took away a gold ring, mobile phone, cash and the keys of his vehicle. Police took immediate action to nab the accused. Human intelligence was pressed into operation, CCTV footage was collected and technical surveillance was mounted.
Police received information about the accused present in Nathupura, Delhi.
A team under the supervision of ACP Arvind Kumar, led by Inspector K.K. Sharma with SIs Raj Kumar, Rahul Garg, ASI Shyam Singh, HCs Bhopender, Nitin Rathi, Mohit Baliyan and Deepak Nagar was constituted. Several raids were conducted at the said location and arrested two robbers identified as Vinay alias Petha 28 years and Jitender alias Jeetu 24 years.
During interrogation, both the accused confessed to having committed the offence, and also disclosed their previous involvement in crime. Police recovered a toy pistol with three looted mobile phones and a stolen bike used in the offence.
