Rishi Kumar Singh
was the Parade Commander of Delhi Police.
As the majestic Republic Day parade unfolded on Kartavya Path, all eyes were on the impeccably disciplined Delhi Police marching contingent. Leading them with unwavering confidence and precision was IPS officer Rishi Kumar Singh.
An officer of the 2021 batch, Singh currently serves as Additional DCP, Central District. Born and raised in Lucknow, his journey has taken him across various parts of Uttar Pradesh during his schooling years. His academic brilliance led him to BITS Pilani, where he pursued a degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering before donning the IPS uniform.
Discipline and endurance are not new to Singh. A passionate swimmer, he was recognized as the best swimmer at the National Police Academy (NPA). His love for the sport pushed him further, and in 2024, he successfully participated in the Goa 70.3 Ironman triathlon as a swimmer in the relay category.
From the rigorous training grounds of the NPA to the commanding position at one of India's grandest celebrations of democracy, Singh’s journey is a testament to dedication, resilience, and excellence. As he leads the Delhi Police contingent down Kartavya Path, his presence symbolized not just authority, but also the grit and determination of India’s young police leadership.
