The staff of Pandav Nagar arrested a thief associated with the infamous Thak-Thak gang. The incident occurred on January 27 when Rahul Tyagi, traveling in his Fortuner car, was deceived into stopping near Mayur Vihar Phase 1 flyover. Two motorcyclists claimed smoke was coming from his car engine. While he checked, two accomplices stole his bag containing an iPhone, ₹6,000 cash, a passport, and an Aadhaar card.

Fortunately, Sub-Inspector Rahul Monga, passing through the area, noticed the commotion. Acting promptly, he intercepted the fleeing thieves, causing them to fall from their motorcycle. One accused, identified as Shankar Kunal 32 years a labourer from New Delhi, was arrested with the stolen items, while another managed to escape.

DCP East Abhishek Dhania commended the team's efforts, stating, "Our officers' quick response and presence of mind ensured the apprehension of the accused. Efforts are ongoing to nab the one at large."

Police recovered the stolen iPhone, ₹6,000 cash, and an Aadhaar card. Shankar Kunal was previously involved in 10 theft cases, further investigation is in progress.
