Accused of twin murder caught

A man wanted for a double murder evading arrest for the past four years was finally nabbed by Special Cell and also recovered one single shot pistol from his possession.

A team of Special Cell/SWR, led by Inspectors Manender Singh, Neeraj Kumar and Sundeep Yadav under the supervision of ACP Sanjay Dutt, has arrested Sunny 26 years who was wanted for a double murder case of PS Narela. The accused Sunny was declared a proclaimed offender by the concerned court.

Accordingly, sources were deployed to gather information about him, acting on a tip-off that alleged Sunny would be coming in the Najafgarh area. A trap was laid by the team led by the team with SI Vishal, ASI Rajesh Rana, ASI Prem Parkash and others near High tension road, New Roshan Pura, Najafgarh and arrested Sunny Sharma. "It was learnt that Sunny studied up to class 12th and was engaged in AC repairing work in Narela. His associates while committing criminal activities of burglary/robbery had a fight with two security guards in 2020 in a Factory in Narela, Delhi. He with eight other associates killed two security guards after beating them mercilessly." Pranav Tayal, Additional CP, Special Cell spoke.

He has a long rap sheet recording 7 cases pending against him.

Further probe is underway.
