Strict actions suggested for non-voters

Divyanshu Nishana, a Law student at Indraprastha Law College in Delhi, submitted a memorandum for strict action against those who do not cast vote, fine to be levied for ₹10 lakhs. He submitted the memorandum to North-East District Magistrate Ajay Kumar and Chief Election officer of Delhi. 

He stressed to improve voting percentage in Delhi, conducting an effective legislative elections. Further, he mentioned that people often think voting day as public holidays, do not vote. This leniency leads to ineffective democratic processes. The student proposed various measures like imposing penalty of ₹10 lakhs on imprudent voting citizens, filing an FIR against people who fail to cast vote for 3 consecutive elections. Moreover, government must seize their property, and closing all tourists places within 300 km radius of Delhi should be closed. 

Divyanshu suggested these measures to avoid democratic repercussions.
