Family bumped off by son on wedding anniversary
A gruesome killing executed by a son living in persistent frustration shook the city of Delhi. Arjun a second year student, a wannabe boxer felt humiliated when his elder sister was given more importance and praised for her being better at studies. His father even signed a part of property in his daughter's name as a will which fuelled his wrath to the bursting seam. The furious Arjun hatched a plot to eliminate the entire family and executed the murder of his father Rajesh 51 years, a retired army personnel, mother Komal 47 years and sister Kavita 23 years on their marriage anniversary.
The killer used the army knife of his father to stab the three of them in the wee hours of December 4 in their residence at Delhi's Neb Sarai.
The scene of crime was thoroughly examined through the Forensic Crime Team. The FSL team in its examination obtained the crucial and clinching forensic evidence of blood traces that pointed the needle of suspicion over the son behind the murder." Sanjay K.Jain Joint Commissioner of Police,Southern Range spoke addressing the press.
Arjun would go for a morning walk at 5 30 and return by 6 30 making it seem that this crime had occurred in his absence when he was away just to divert the attention of the cops probing the case.
He kept changing his versions each time he was 'questioned' thus failing to corroborate his two different lines. There was no forced entry into the house nor was there anything that showed ransacking or robbery as things were found intact on the crime scene.
"The forensic examination helped in giving major and irrefutable leads in the case to nail the accused and unveil the alibi of the killer being out for a morning stroll at that point in time," concluded SK Jain.
