4 held for robbery, pistols with live rounds recovered
A bag containing ₹ 18,90,500 was snatched by two bike-borne men at gun-point in the area of Hazrat Nizamuddin. The robbers fled the scene after snatching the bag.
Keeping in view the gravity of the case, a team Anti Narcotics Squad was constituted under the supervision of ACP Dilip Singh and led by Inspector Vishnu Dutt Tiwari. The team had SIs Nagandera Kumar, Ajeet Singh, Satnarayan, Sudhir Kumar, ASI Upander Kumar, HCs Karamveer, Mahender Singh, Binod Kumar, Hidayat, Mohit Kumar, Baldev Verma, Joginder, Kuldeep Singh, woman HCs Poonam and constables Balwant Singh and Naveen. Each officer was given a specific duty, collecting manual and technical inputs to trace all the accused.
As the probe progressed, the motorcycle used in the robbery was found to be stolen at PS Jyoti Nagar. Identification of the accused was challenging as the person had worn a helmet. Sustained efforts by HCs Karamveer and Kuldeep led to the identification of one Accused Tarun 20 years. On the basis of investigation of the accused, the police arrested two more accused involved. The police nabbed Shiva Jat alias Shiva Auliyan and Vikas. Inspector Vishnu Dutt Tiwari arrested Nishu alias Karan from Sarai Kale Khan after a brief exchange of fire, injuring his both legs. The police recovered ₹4.52 lakhs, a pistol with 2 live cartridges and a motorcycle used in the crime.
