Yesterday, several schools in east Delhi and Noida sent messages to students’ parents regarding their safety, after the schools received bomb threats via email. A bomb threat via email was received to St. Stephen’s College, north campus around 7: 42 am, that triggered panic among the students and staff.

Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar Delhi, received a bomb threat via email on Wednesday, prompting an immediate police response. The school’s principal alerted the Pandav Nagar Police Station at 6:40 am, following which senior officials, bomb disposal teams, and dog squads were deployed to the scene.

Upon receiving the alert, SHO Pandav Nagar Dara Singh  and police personnel rushed to the school, and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of East District was also mobilized. The entire school premises were thoroughly checked by BDS personnel and dog handlers, ensuring the safety of students and staff. After a meticulous inspection, authorities confirmed that no suspicious items were found, ruling out the threat as a hoax.

Following the incident, police officials have launched an investigation to trace the source of the threatening email. Cybercrime experts are also involved in tracking down the sender. Authorities are considering legal action against those responsible for causing panic and disruption.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, East District, Abhishek Dhania said,

"We take every threat seriously to ensure public safety. Our teams responded swiftly, conducted thorough searches, and found nothing amounting to panic. Investigations are underway to identify the source of the email and take necessary action against those found guilty of disseminating fear."

The police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activities to the police.
