CM Yogi unveils logo for Khel Mahakumbh
TYC Communication and Kreeda Bharti organise event

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Aditya Nath Yogi unveiled the logo and website for Khel Mahakumbh- Khel Samvad Sangam. The event was conducted under the aegis of TYC Communication and Kreeda Bharati.
The CM said that the event would spark the sports enthusiasm and represent Indian traditional sports globally, and ensured his support to make this event successful. Khel Mahakumbh will start from the first week of February 2025, at Mahakumbh grounds in Prayagraj. It would reflect rich sporting traditions of Indian traditional games. TYC Communication and Kreeda Bharati will refine the strategies and games to perform better in the Asian Games, the Olympics and other global events.
Awanish Kumar Singh, Uttar Pradesh President of Kreeda Bharati, said it was a platform that would bring essence of traditional and modern sports. It is a unique step that will provide a way to prepare future generations of athletes and elevate India’s position in the global sports stages. The 7-day event will feature panel discussions, competitions, and workshops. Competitions for the event will be wrestling and archery for both male and female categories, with winners receiving ₹2.5 lakh and runners-up ₹75,000 in cash prizes.
Another major highlight of Khel Mahakumbh will be Yoga and Kalarippayattu, showcasing India’s ancient practices and martial arts.
‘Experience Zone’, where the sporting traditions of India’s 28 states and 8 Union territories will be conducted. Games such as Gilli-Danda, Tug-of-War, Fugdi, Mallayudh and many others will be played, allowing visitors to experience games.
The grand event will conclude with an award ceremony, where 100 individuals and institutions will be honoured. This includes recognizing athletes, coaches, sports institutions, writers, and individuals who have dedicated their lives to the advancement of sports.
Organized by Kreeda Bharati with the support of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Khel Mahakumbh promised to be a milestone in India’s sports history. The event’s mission is to strengthen grounds to lay the foundations for India’s preparation for the 2036 Olympics.
On this occasion, Angad Singh MLC was also present. Khel Mahakumbh warmly invited participants and audiences from across the country to witness this extraordinary competition.
