The skipper Rajbir Singh’s all-round display claiming 3 crucial wickets and made 24 runs and Anuj Chauhan’s 80 runs steered an easy for Sunrise Cricket Club. The match played at Cheetah Cricket Ground in Chirodi Loni was dedicated to Himanshu Arora(Harsh), a key player of Sunrise Cricket Club who passed away on January 1 following heart failure.
Sunrise Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Sunrise managed to score a massive total of 252/8 in stipulated 25 overs. Key contributions came from Anuj Chauhan 80 and Neeraj Sharma 36 and Ajay 34 while Warriors Eleven’s bowlers, led by captain Shyam Saxena took 3 wickets, Anil Kumar Nirwan took 2 wickets, Sachin Nishchal, Nipun Sharma and Deepanshu took 1 wicket each.
Chasing 253, Warriors Eleven collapsed and could make 220/7 in 25.
Nipun Sharma 53 and Anil Kumar Nirwan 74 were the main scorers. The match highlighted sportsmanship and unity as players from both teams honored Harsh’s contribution to the sport. Both Anuj Chauhan and Rajbir Singh were declared Man of the Match for their match-winning performances.
