Fight against cybercrime and drugs gains currency
A war waged on curbing cybercrime, drugs and how to combat panic triggered by hoax calls has widely been accepted. This vision envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is vigorously pursuing a policy of 'Zero Tolerance' against drugs.
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has time and time again conveyed his resolve to weed out the menace of drugs and has expressed his strong intent to take stringent action against all drug traffickers. This drive is being implemented by Delhi Police under the guidance of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Delhi, Vinai Kumar Saxena and the leadership of Commissioner of Police,Delhi Sanjay Arora.
Cracking down on drugs, various operations and campaigns are being run by the districts and units of Delhi Police. Besides, Delhi Police hosted a significant seminar for teachers which aimed at strengthening their understanding of critical issues like drug abuse, cyber hygiene, and preparedness for hoax bomb scares. This witnessed an overwhelming response with over 350 teachers from NDMC schools attending the event.
Expert speakers, including Anil Sharma, ACP ANTF, Crime Branch, delivered a compelling PowerPoint presentation on drug abuse, highlighting the devastating impact of substance abuse on individuals, families, and society.
Prabhat Sinha, (Rtd.) ACP, Cyber Cell, Crime Branch, Delhi, delivered a highly informative lecture on cyber hygiene. He shed light on the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats.
Insp. Praveen Rathi ANTF Crime Branch, Delhi, provided valuable insights into the dangers of hoax bomb calls and their detrimental impact on public order and safety particularly in Schools of Delhi. He outlined the legal consequences of making such calls and emphasized the importance of remaining calm, vigilant & proactive in such situations. The session equipped teachers with the knowledge and confidence to handle such incidents effectively and ensure the safety of their students.
This "Suraksha Sankalp" initiative marks a significant step towards creating a safer, healthier, and more secure environment for students in Delhi session.
