Criminal associated with Gogi Gang nabbed

Crime Branch has a major breakthrough by arresting a notorious and desperate member of the Gogi Gang/Dinesh Karalia Gang, identified as Sitender Kumar alias Matru, he is found in involved in multiple extortion cases, targeting businessman in Delhi and the NCRs. The arrest marks a significant step in curbing the criminal activities of the Gogi Gang/Dinesh Karalia Gang in the region.

The team strategically deployed secret informants and mounted technical surveillance to nail such criminals wanted for heinous cases. During this operation, crucial manual inputs were received by SI Hitesh Bhardwaj and HC Mandeep, indicating that a key member of the Gogi Gang/Dinesh Karalia Gang, wanted for an extortion case registered at PS KN Katju Marg, would be arriving near Bhagwati Garden Extension, to meet some of his associates.

Acting promptly, a dedicated team led Inspector Ajay Sharma, with team members SI Hitesh Bhardwaj, HC Mandeep, HC Vikas Dabas, HC Narender, HC Ravinder, HC Neeraj, HC Akash and HC Azad Singh was constituted. The operation was closely supervised by ACP Narender Singh under the overall monitoring of DCP Satish Kumar DCP Crime and Sanjay Bhatia, Addl.CP/Crime and this was thoroughly and closely directed by Devesh C.Srivastava, Special Commissioner of Police,(Crime) was executed.

The team conducted a well planned raid at the specified location, resulting in the successful apprehension of Sitender Kumar.Sitender Kumar admitted to being an active member of the infamous Gogi Gang.

Accused Sitender further revealed that a relative of the incarcerated gangster Dinesh Karalia, facilitated the hiring of sharpshooters to carry out firing. This act was aimed at intimidating the NRI businessman located into Dubai, for paying the extortion amount.

This arrest is a significant success as it disrupts the major extortion racket orchestrated by the Gogi Gang. The revelations made by Sitender Kumar provide critical insights into the gang's modus operandi and their extensive network.

Efforts are underway to apprehend Sitender's associate Ajay (now in Dubai) and other members of the gang involved in these criminal activities.The group is accused of coordinating ransom calls from locations such as Malaysia and Dubai. For these calls, they also used mobile phones and SIM cards procured abroad.
